Dedicated to you Rene..Miss You Man!
The Band That Stole My Heart
When I moved back up to Owen Sound I never
thought I would meet the caliber of musicians in this
area that I thought. When the first Sounder formed we
were a house band for a hotel. We soon developed into a great
all round band. We started playing country first, although
our hearts were in jazz and R&B. We soon set the standard
for all bands in the area. No doubt about it we were great. There
were several Sounder bands with different members. We
did have one reunion which again sold out. We made two
albums which sold well in the Grey Bruce area. Lately we have
lost one of our great players Rene Van Dyk. This page & music
playing dedicated to you Rene!
